Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a Radiologic Technician to perform radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases. You will also assist with administrative tasks, patient registration, and clinical support as needed.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient interaction, accurate image processing, and adherence to ALARA radiation safety principles in a fast-paced, clinic-based environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
• ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred.
• Licensed per state regulation; Medical Assistant Certification/registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT or Paramedic certification acceptable in some states.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate manner.
• Position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques.
• Process images and prepare for physician review and radiologist overreads.
• Utilize digital and non-digital imaging equipment in compliance with policies.
• Assist with prescribed patient treatments per standards and protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance and arrange for repairs as needed.
• Complete forms and maintain records of work performed.
• Serve as Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant as needed.
