Job summary

Emory Decatur Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiologic equipment, perform standard and advanced exams, and ensure patient safety. The role includes guiding procedures and communicating with patients to promote cooperation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and ARRT registered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• Minimum of one year experience in radiologic technology.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) for diagnostic purposes.
• Performs routine, portable, operating room or fluoroscope exams.
• Performs complex radiographic procedures and provides guidance to lower level Radiologic Technologists and students.
• Positions patient and adjusts equipment to produce high quality images.
• Explains procedures to patients and reduces anxiety.
• Assists in training radiology staff and students.
• Completes radiology documentation in the RIS for billing and charting.
