Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages, under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager. You will apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure while delivering quality images.

Qualifications include completion of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-R, and BLS certification. Excellent patient communication and care are essential, along with adherence to safety, aseptic technique, and Wellstar

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiologic Technology program completion is required.
• ARRT-R certification required at hire.
• BLS certification (Instructor or Standard) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of Diagnostic Imaging exams adhering to department protocols.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Evaluate image quality and perform post-processing as needed.
• Ensure correct patient identification and documentation of procedures.
• Provide compassionate patient care and support throughout procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Assist Radiologist with procedures and follow aseptic techniques.
• Adhere to Wellstar policies and practice guidelines.
