Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging Department at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time daytime role runs Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with weekend and call rotation required.

You will prep rooms, position patients, operate imaging equipment, and ensure safe, accurate care. The position is based at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL, supporting diverse patients and collaborating with nurses and physicians in a high-volume

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required or preferred.
• Radiology/imaging experience preferred.
• Experience working in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic procedures.
• Interact with patients and staff in a caring, professional manner.
• Report to the Lead Technologist on shift.
• Comply with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Comfortable with Pediatrics.
• Identify, prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner where required.

This is a Full-Time Days opportunity working Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. Weekend and call rotation required. As a Radiology Technologist, your day will consist of prepping rooms and positioning patients to capture clear diagnostic images that guide clinical decisions. You’ll collaborate closely with nurses and physicians, operate advanced imaging equipment, and ensure every patient receives safe, accurate, and compassionate care.

This Radiology Technologist will be located at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL.

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities:

• Performing high-quality radiographic procedures
• Promoting goodwill amongst co-workers and with other departments, and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients
• Reporting to the Lead Technologist on shift
• Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements
• Comfortable with Pediatrics
• Identifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, by state and federal regulations, or Lawful institutional policy

Experience Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience preferred
• Radiology/Imaging Experience preferred
• Experience working in a hospital setting preferred

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Vocational School Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - DOH Required
• Registered Technologist in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography, ARRT (CI) Required
• Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT - ARRT
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - CCI - Cardiovascular Preferred
