Job summary

Mercyhealth in Illinois seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, including portable X-rays, C-arm, and fluoroscopy, while maintaining high-quality imaging and radiation safety standards. You will review patient history, educate patients, operate imaging equipment, and assist radiologists with fluoroscopic and special procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Radiography registration is required.
• Illinois IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation may be required if working in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Reviews patients' clinical history and collaborates with radiologist.
• Provides patient education and positions patients for optimal imaging.
• Operates imaging equipment and ensures image quality while following safety protocols.
• Documents imaging procedures and patient data in PACS/EMR and ensures accurate records.
