Job summary

UW Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist Assistant to join the team on the Madison campus. The role supports patient care through check-in, exam prep, and transport, while training on radiographic equipment, computers, and software for procedures.

You will contribute to smooth exam workflows and patient safety, working alongside a diverse care team in a fast-paced hospital setting at UW Health.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Prior experience in healthcare or customer service is required.
  • CPR certification within 3 months is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the patient care team with a broad range of services including check-in, exam prep, and patient transport.
  • Train and learn to operate radiographic equipment, computers, and software.
  • Support exam workflows and maintain patient safety and comfort.

Work Schedule

30% FTE, day/evening shift. Monday through Friday with hours ranging from 4:00PM - 10:00PM. Saturday/Sunday hours ranging from 7:00AM - 7:00PM (includes 8, 10, 12 hour shifts). Holiday shifts included. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We Are Seeking a Radiologic Technologist Assistant To
  • Assist members of the patient care team and provide a broad range of health care services such as: patient check-in, exam review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams and procedures, and patient transporting.
  • Train and learn to use a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, and software.
