Job summary

UW Health’s University Hospital in Madison, WI seeks a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist – X-ray to perform a wide range of imaging exams across age groups using diverse radiographic equipment, and participate in QA, image processing, and clinical instruction.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology Required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field Preferred.
  • ARRT Radiography (R) certification Upon Hire Required.
  • Wisconsin Radiological License Upon Hire Required.
  • CPR certification within 3 months Required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of imaging exams for adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups.

  • Make quick, technical decisions to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for imaging training programs and assist in educating technologists and visiting professionals.

Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist – X-ray to:

  • Perform a wide variety of imaging exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups using a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers.
  • Troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
  • Bring your knowledge to make quick and highly technical decisions in order to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for affiliated imaging training programs and participate in the instruction of other technologists and visiting health care professionals and may also participate in clinical research.

Work Schedule

90% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday 8:45AM – 5:15PM with Wednesday off during week 2. Partial weekend rotation. Call and holiday shifts required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay

UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay. This position will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. You may be eligible for up to a $13,500 sign‑on bonus (pro‑rated based on FTE).
