Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus

Full Time Benefit Eligible

Shift: FT 36 hours per week, 12-hour afternoon shifts 3pm-3:30am w/rotating weekends

Job Responsibilities
  1. Take radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
  2. Prepare and position patients for imaging and select exposure factors accurately.
  3. Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  4. Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
  5. Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
  6. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure.
  7. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history).
  8. Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  9. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
  10. Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage, and other areas.
  11. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
Education/Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or
  • Associate's degree within 6 months of hire, or
  • Technical degree required within 6 months of hire.
Certification/Licenses Required
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 months of hire or transfer date.
