Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified CT Technologist to perform all CT procedures independently, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to radiation safety practices (ALARA). The role involves working with advanced CT equipment, collaborating with patients, physicians, and staff, and providing care tailored to various age groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography procedures accurately.
• Coordinate with clinicians to document clinical histories and prepare patients, minimizing anxiety and ensuring cooperation.
• Operate CT equipment, including calibration and protocol selection.
• Position patients appropriately, ensuring comfort and optimal imaging.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Assist radiologists during interventional procedures and perform venipuncture as needed.
• Evaluate image quality and manipulate display parameters for optimal results.
• Maintain records, ensure confidentiality, and manage equipment and supplies.
• Provide patient education and support, including basic life support when necessary.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain knowledge of current protocols and technology.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program with 4-6 weeks of CT training.
• Minimum 1 year of general radiology experience, including 6-12 months with CT scanners.
• Certified BLS Provider (American Heart Association) within 3 months of hire.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with CT registration within 16 months of hire.

Work Conditions and Requirements

• Full-time, 36-hour afternoon shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
• Work involves exposure to ionizing radiation and infectious diseases.
• Must complete necessary orientation and training.
