Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston is hiring a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality radiographic exams following physician orders and established protocols, ensuring accurate, interpretable images for diagnosis.

You will prepare and administer contrast as directed, verify patient data, maintain safety, and operate equipment in a fast-paced, team-focused environment with state-of-the-art imaging, weekend shifts, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus plus relocation

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• 0–2 years of modality-specific work experience.
• Must be registered with ARRT or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure from SC Radiation Quality Standards Association required.
• Current BLS required (AHA or ARC approved).

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and protocols.
• Ensures diagnostic images are obtained accurately and efficiently for interpretation.
• Prepares and administers contrast agents under physician supervision.
• Verifies patient information and orders prior to procedures.
• Positions patients and operates radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout examinations.
• Reviews images for quality and completeness; acquires additional images when needed.
• Follows radiation safety practices and departmental standards.
• Documents examinations and patient information in electronic systems.
• Maintains equipment and work areas per infection prevention protocols.
