Job description

Shift and Schedule

Shift: 2nd/3rd shift float. Full‑time position. Weekly hours: 40.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a customer advocate, strive to meet the needs of patients and families, respond quickly to parent requests and concerns, and provide appropriate education and information.
  • Communicate with patients, families and employees courteously and promptly; provide information on admitted, referred, transferred or discharged patients and offer emotional support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, guidelines, regulations and accreditation standards; document compliance and maintain adherence to CCHMC Core Standards and code of ethics.
  • Maintain work areas in a safe, accessible, and efficient environment for employees, patients and families.
  • Prepare patients and families for procedures or examinations physically and psychologically, conduct them following protocol or guidelines as directed, and facilitate the exchange of patient information.
  • Maintain current licensure or certification through continuing education, conferences, workshops, networking, literature and seminars; attend mandatory CCHMC training sessions and apply learned skills to personal and departmental work.
  • Assume responsibility for personal professional growth and development; participate in internal or external professional committees, agencies, councils or other activities.
  • Facilitate and coordinate patient care and effective communication within the medical center dedicated to the care of children.
  • Collaborate closely with team members of the Radiology Department and other departments across hospital and outpatient sites.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent; preferred Bachelor's Degree.
  • 0+ years of related work experience (Registered ARRT (R) or eligible ARRT (R) within 6 months of hire).
  • Licensed by the Ohio Department of Health within 30 days of eligibility.
Location & Compensation

Primary Location: Burnet Campus. Salary range: $25.82 - $32.28 per hour (annualized pay may vary based on FTE status).
