Job summary

CHI Williston Health provides radiologic services including X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI to support radiologists in diagnosing patient conditions. The technologist will interact directly with patients to ensure a positive experience and prepares them for procedures.

Responsibilities include obtaining quality images, assisting with fluoroscopy, educating patients, and managing PACS workflows. A strong emphasis on exposure safety and accurate record-keeping is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT Registered Radiography at hire.
• ND Medical Radiographer licensure at hire.
• BLS/CPR certification at hire.
• Preferred: experience in a Critical Access Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Capable of obtaining quality radiographs of all body parts with proper exposure and shielding.
• Assists Radiologist with Fluoroscopic procedures.
• Instructs and educates patients about the ordered test and prepares them for the procedure.
• Use CR reader, erase CR cassettes, and send images from CR reader.
• Access PACS, review studies, and perform basic image manipulation; resolve QA issues and transfer images.
• Record care information concisely and accurately in the appropriate format.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Capable of obtaining quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure, markers, and shielding. Knows how to use portable x-ray machines and c-arms
• Assists Radiologist with Fluoroscopic procedures
• Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure
• Able to use CR reader, erase CR cassettes, send images from CR reader, and perform image manipulation as necessary
• Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations. Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD’s, transfer images, and print from PACS
• Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and
• Medical Radiographer: ND, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Preferred

• Radiologic Technologist experience in a Critical Access Hospital

Pay Range
