Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program, upon hire.
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
• Medical Radiographer: IA, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and their ability to participate in ordered procedures. Provide a clear explanation of the procedure including duration, process, and what to expect after completion.
• Provide patient education as appropriate.
• Obtain patient consent for care and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Select proper equipment, set correct factors, protocols and gather supplies prior to performing the procedure; follow radiation safety standards including Image Gently/Wisely and wear lead protection when exposure is possible.
• Obtain complete history and document data to assist image interpretation.
• Perform quality assessment of images and escalate equipment concerns as needed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Assesses patients and their abilities to participate in ordered procedures. Provides a clear explanation of the procedure including; duration, process, and what to expect following completion.
• Provides patient education as appropriate.
• Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
• Selects proper equipment, setting correct technical factors, procedure protocols and gathers proper supplies prior to performance of the procedure. Recognizes all radiation safety standards including “Image Gently” and “Image Wisely”. Understands and follows all rules around radiation protection including wearing of lead protection when there is a possibility of exposure.
• Obtains clear and complete history from the patient and/or patient record and records that data into patient record to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters.
• Performs quality assessment of images obtained and is able to evaluate equipment issues and escalates concerns as indicated.

Pay Range

$24.27 - $36.10 /hour
