Job Title: Radiology Technologist Department: Ortho Neuro ImagingLocation: Finger Lakes Bone & JointHours Per Week: 40Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4 pm

SUMMARY

As a Radiologic Technologist, you assist radiologists with imaging procedures to ensure diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients who undergo procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas
  • Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts
  • Provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology
  • Provide excellent patient service
  • Clean, restock, and prepare rooms on a daily basis
  • Ensure concise and complete documentation of patient exams and related procedures, utilizing the RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years college certificate or equivalent.
  • NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.
  • If licensed after 2007 must obtain American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT) within 1 year of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
  • BLS Certification preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20-50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.

PAY RANGE

$28.75 - $38.75

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
