Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a part-time Radiology Technologist at Unity Hospital to assist radiologists in performing radiographic procedures and ensuring high-quality, patient-friendly imaging. Responsibilities

  • Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas.
  • Maintain timely, proper service during unsupervised shifts.
  • Document exams and procedures in RIS/PACS and charts.
  • Clean, restock and prepare rooms daily.
  • Attend meetings and in-services.
  • Provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Radiology section.
  • Uphold excellent customer service.

Sun 10:00 am - 6:30 pm, Mon 10:30 am- 7 pm, Tues 10 am- 6:30 pm On-call: 2-3 shifts/month and some holidays

Summary

Performs and assists radiologists in performing radiographic procedures, obtaining films of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients undergoing these procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for radiography of patients in all assigned areas.
  • Maintains accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts.
  • Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in patient charts as necessary.
  • Cleans, restocks and prepares rooms on a daily basis.
  • Attends hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.
  • Practices and held accountable for excellent customer service behaviors.
  • Provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • 2 years college certificate or equivalent.
  • NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification (ARRT) within 1 year of hire.
  • New Graduates: Official transcript from an accredited school or letter emailed directly from the school's registrar's office confirming program completion will be accepted upon graduation.
  • Primary source education verification required within 90 days of start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
  • BLS Certification preferred.
Physical Requirements

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20-50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision‑making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask‑fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.

Pay Range

$28.75 - $38.75

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
