Pride Health is hiring a Radiology Technologist to support our client’s medical facility in Novi Campus, MI. This is a CONTRACT opportunity of 3 months and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role involves preparing patients for examinations, operating radiographic equipment, ensuring patient safety through radiation protection protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation. The technologist must demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment. Compliance with hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and safety standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities and skills:

• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for imaging.
• Review clinical requisitions and perform appropriate exams based on patient history.
• Prepare procedure rooms and restock linens and medical supplies.
• Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform radiologic procedures.
• Use manual controls and positioning to capture accurate diagnostic images.
• Administer intravenous contrast media when necessary and monitor for reactions.
• Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA) and appropriate shielding techniques.
• Set up sterile equipment and follow infection control protocols.
• Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and proper storage practices.
• Follow patient care standards to protect safety, privacy, and comfort.
• Complete required worksheets, logs, and documentation accurately.
• Provide training and mentorship to new hires and students as needed.
• Resolve image exceptions and verify quality delivery of images to PACS.
• Perform proper study indexing and updates in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Confirm clinical protocols with Radiologists before conducting studies.
• Demonstrate consistent professionalism and teamwork, including AIDET practices.
• Document all imaging and clinical activities in both medical records and RIS for billing and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum education- High school diploma or GED
• 6 months - 1 year of experience required
• ARRT and BLS certification required
• Detail-oriented with good experience.
• Data entry and processing.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and stress management skills.

Additional Information:

• Location: Novi Campus, MI, and other locations
• Job Type: 3 months contract
• Shifts: 8 HOURS DAY SHIFT
• Hourly Pay: $56-$58/ hr
