The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures by positioning patients, operating diagnostic x-ray equipment and providing patient care during imaging exams to assist in diagnosis and treatment of the patient. The Radiologic Technologist will have an advanced technical position that provides clinical expertise and education to the Radiology department, to ensure that a high quality product or service is delivered in support of the strategic plan, and the functions according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, goals and objectives.

Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities:
- Performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures by positioning patients and operating diagnostic x-ray equipment.
- Provides patient care during imaging exams to assist in diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
Advanced technical position that provides clinical expertise and education to the Radiology department. - Ensures that a high-quality product or service is delivered in support of the strategic plan and the functions according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, goals and objectives.
- Performs radiologic examinations on identified patients according to department procedures and protocols by positioning patients, and operating radiographic equipment while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce high quality images.
- Minimizes radiation to the patient, self and others by practicing appropriate radiation protection techniques, restricting radiation field size, using patient and personnel shielding devices and utilizing low dose exposure factors.
- Adheres to radiation safety standards in compliance with regulatory agencies and department policies.
- Provides training to new employees or for new tasks to existing employees; serves as resource to colleagues on issues/questions and provides guidance; coaches for improved performance by providing appropriate feedback; maintains a positive environment.
- Communicates concerns/issues to Refuah leadership team, radiologic consultants, physicist, and/or maintenance team as appropriate.
- Maintains organized records for quality control, data collection and quality assurance for regulatory compliance and accreditation.
- Maintains exam rooms, supplies and equipment according to performance standards. Maintains area supplies and reports equipment malfunctions.
- Performs and documents quality assurance testing on equipment according to established protocols to maintain high performance of the system.
- Effectively addresses patient and staff questions/concerns.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications
What You Bring to Refuah:
- High School Diploma required
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
- 1-year clinical experience required
- At least 1-2 years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
- Meets NYS requirements
- Eligible to Work in the US
