Job summary

Summit View Surgery Center is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to join our fast-paced surgical team. You will perform radiographic procedures, operate imaging equipment, and assist in the operating room, contributing to high-quality patient care.

We require ARRT registration, CPR certification, and 1–2 years of OR x-ray experience; strong communication and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
  • 1-2 years of experience with C-Arm and portable x-rays in an operating room setting.
  • ARRT Registered, State MRT, and CPR Current.
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations.
  • Must possess independent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient diagnostic Radiology, Fluoroscopy.
  • Operate X-ray equipment to make radiographs; adjust exposure per physician; follow radiation safety procedures.
  • Prepare and set up supplies; explain x ray procedures to patients; position patients for views; report changes in patient condition.
  • Monitor equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
  • Record amount and type of film exposed; label film with identifying information; sort as required.
  • Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure quality standards.
  • Process film per procedures and maintain clean, orderly work area.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork during downtime and assist with room turnovers and restocking.

Hourly Range: $32-$39(based on experience)

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist will perform multiple procedures under the direction of specialized physicians, including the operation of special imaging and radiology equipment. Skilled at sterile field assistance during operating room and pain management procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Radiologic Technologist:
  • Outpatient diagnostic Radiology, Fluoroscopy
  • Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in operating X-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by physician; adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage, and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
  • Determine, prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments and equipment; explain x ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required; report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff.
  • Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
  • Record amount and type of film exposed; label film with identifying information; sort as required.
  • Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality.
  • Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain assigned work area in clean and orderly condition.
  • Strong teamwork skills, utilizing 'down time' to perform other assigned tasks, including room turnovers, restocking warmer, specialty carts, etc.
Required Skills:
