Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services, Level IV Trauma ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services, and more.
Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering personalized, professional, and quality patient care in diagnostic x-ray examinations and patient transportation.
- Explain diagnostic procedures thoroughly to patients and families.
- Perform various diagnostic x-ray examinations including routine, fluoroscopic, portable, and surgical procedures.
- Ensure proper radiographic parameters are used and provide quality images to physicians.
- Document images with appropriate identification markers.
- Provide minimal nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and seeking assistance when necessary.
- Use PACS and Hospital Information System proficiently for entering and retrieving patient data.
- Maintain accurate department paperwork.
- Follow radiation safety protocols according to ALARA principles.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and licensing requirements.
- Perform equipment quality control and report malfunctions promptly.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Registered or eligible for registration with ARRT in Radiology.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a GMRT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA.
Preferred: Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
