Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services, Level IV Trauma ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services, and more.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering personalized, professional, and quality patient care in diagnostic x-ray examinations and patient transportation.
• Explain diagnostic procedures thoroughly to patients and families.
• Perform various diagnostic x-ray examinations including routine, fluoroscopic, portable, and surgical procedures.
• Ensure proper radiographic parameters are used and provide quality images to physicians.
• Document images with appropriate identification markers.
• Provide minimal nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and seeking assistance when necessary.
• Use PACS and Hospital Information System proficiently for entering and retrieving patient data.
• Maintain accurate department paperwork.
• Follow radiation safety protocols according to ALARA principles.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and licensing requirements.
• Perform equipment quality control and report malfunctions promptly.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered or eligible for registration with ARRT in Radiology.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a GMRT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA.

Preferred: Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
