Job summary

Atrium Health's Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, NC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a PRN shift. You will perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, document patient histories on physician requisitions, verify patient identity, and assist in contrast administration under radiologist guidance.

Qualified candidates are ARRT-recognized graduates in Radiologic Technology, registry eligible with completion within 1 year of hire date, and must have BLS certification.

• BLS certification required.

You’ll Need

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required
  

Essential Functions

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
