Job summary

Atrium Health in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and to document patient history for procedures. The role requires ARRT recognition or eligibility and BLS certification, with a focus on accurate patient verification and safety procedures.

Full-time evenings position with sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Candidates must complete registry within 1 year of hire and work closely with radiologists to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• Graduates of an ARRT‑recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition by physician.
• Confirms patient identification and verifies identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Operates equipment and demonstrates correct positioning for procedures.
• Maintains records in accordance with department standards.

You’ll Need

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required

Essential Functions

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
