Job summary

UofL Health invites applications for a Radiologic Technologist at Mary and Elizabeth - UMC in Louisville, KY. You will perform radiographic exams, assist radiologists, and uphold strict safety standards to ensure high-quality imaging.

Education must include a JRC-approved Radiologic Technology program; ARRT certification is required within 3 months of hire, and a KBMIRT temporary license is required before start date. BLS is also required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a JRC-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• One year of experience as a general radiographer preferred but not required.
• ARRT certification required within 3 months of hire.
• KBMIRT temporary license required prior to start date.
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations with accuracy per established protocols.
• Position patients and adjust exposure techniques to achieve diagnostic images.
• Prepare for and assist radiologists with intricate radiographic examinations.
• Administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.
• Maintain radiation safety practices including use of lead shields and pregnancy status checks.
• Educate patients pre- and post-exam as needed.
• Ensure examinations are completed and ready for physician interpretation.
