Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Registered Radiologist Assistant (Radiologic Specialist Assistant) for a full-time day shift in New York, NY. The role involves evaluating imaging appropriateness, protocoling, and obtaining informed consent, under physician supervision.

You will assist in procedures, review findings with radiologists, document cases, and support education and research initiatives. Must have ARRRT RRA certification within 6 months and NYS Specialist Assistant License within 6

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Certification by the Certification Board of Radiologist Assistants (ARRT R.R.A) within 6 months of hire date.
• Specialist Assistant License from the NYS Department of Education within 6 months of certification date.
• Must work only in a trainee capacity until licensed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate appropriateness of imaging examinations including protocoling, indications and contraindications.
• Communicate preliminary findings to the radiologist for interpretation.
• Assist with interventional and diagnostic procedures as delegated.
• Provide case documentation and communication to referring physicians pre/post exam.
• Support teaching of students, residents, and fellows and participate in research/quality improvement.
