Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn is seeking a Registered Radiologic Assistant (NYS Specialist Assistant License Required) to join our radiology team. You will perform clinical tasks including patient histories, monitoring, and assisting with diagnostic radiologic procedures under radiologist supervision.

Responsibilities include evaluating patient condition, obtaining consent, documenting procedures, responding to emergencies, and providing post-procedure instructions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; exception for RRAs who started before 2023-01-01.
• Graduate of ARRT approved Registered Radiologic Assistant Program.
• Current NYS license as Specialist Assistant in Radiology (RR A).
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in radiologic procedures and monitor patient safety under supervision.
• Obtain informed consent and verify patient prep.
• Document procedures and maintain accurate records in the medical chart.
• Communicate radiologist reports and post-care instructions to patients and referring physicians.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies and adverse reactions; follow emergency protocols.
