Job summary

AdventHealth Riverview in Florida seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with safety and quality focus. This PRN/day shift position requires excellent patient care and teamwork in a high-volume hospital environment.

You will operate radiographic equipment, document in EMR/PACS, follow safety practices, and engage in continuing education to maintain credentials and skills.

Qualifications

• One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers.
• Ability to analyze data, techniques, equipment operation and quality control.
• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and x-ray equipment operation.
• Able to read, write and speak conversational English.
• Knowledge of health care concepts and procedures.
• Maintain all required registries and licenses to perform Diagnostic Imaging.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members and others.
• Move, position, and manipulate radiographic equipment to complete procedures safely.
• Perform direct patient care duties including monitoring and transport.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked and safe; ensure equipment is cleaned and safe.
• Document accurately in EMR and PACS systems.
• Follow ALARA radiation safety principles and ensure high quality images.
• Operate radiographic equipment and select factors to produce timely images.
• Cross-train into advanced modalities as needed.
