Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with strong attention to safety and image quality. This role works on-site in Diagnostic Imaging with a PRN schedule to support open shifts, PTO, FMLA, and call coverage.

You will use radiologic equipment, assess image quality, ensure patient safety, and document procedures following regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology with licensure in Florida and ARRT certification.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• C-Arm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy/physiology for interpretation and/or intervention.
• Exhibits professional judgment and maintains a demeanor aligned with quality care.
• Delivers appropriate care while considering patient conditions for successful procedure completion.
• Complies with state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
• Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and policies.
• Assesses patient's physical condition and age-appropriate needs.
• Provides instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
• Accurately documents patient history and identification information.
• Positions patient and equipment to obtain high-quality images for interpretation.
• Assesses image quality, annotation, and patient identification.
• Applies radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.
• Participates in Quality Control tasks and ensures safety.
• Proficient in contrast administration and handling adverse reactions.
