Job summary

Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS is seeking an Imaging Student Extern PRN to support the radiology team while gaining practical imaging experience. Under supervision, you will assist with x-ray procedures, prepare patients, and help maintain a safe, organized imaging environment.

The role requires current enrollment in an accredited radiography program and at least 1 year of imaging education. Strong communication and patient-care skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of radiography.
• Must have completed at least 1 year of imaging education as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Assist with x-ray procedures under supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures and verify patient information.
• Transport patients to and from procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain clean and organized imaging rooms and supplies; support clerical duties as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the health care team.
• Abide by safety practices and protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Participate in educational opportunities to enhance care and imaging knowledge.
