Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a PRN Radiographer to join the Morgan Quick Care Clinic team. You will perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with a focus on pediatric patients, ensuring safety and high-quality imaging in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and care staff, adapt to variable coverage needs, and contribute to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration either current or registry eligible, with registration within one year of hire.
• Texas CMRT license required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with high quality images and proper patient positioning.
• Review orders, verify patient identity, and select appropriate imaging techniques.
• Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
• Monitor patients during procedures and ensure comfort and safety.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians, and team members.
• Evaluate images for quality and determine if additional imaging is needed.
• Document procedures accurately and timely.
• Assist with equipment checks and departmental safety initiatives.

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 5:00pm-10:00pm, Saturday-Sunday 1:0pm-10:00pm

Driscoll Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Radiographer to join our team at Morgan Quick Care Clinic in Corpus Christi, TX!

In this role, you'll perform diagnostic radiographic examinations while providing safe, high-quality, patient-centered care to children and their families. You'll work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging that supports timely diagnosis and treatment.

This is a great opportunity for a Radiographer looking for a PRN position with a schedule that varies based on departmental coverage needs. While this position will primarily support Morgan Quick Care Clinic, occasional coverage at our Main Hospital may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations while ensuring high-quality images and accurate patient positioning.
• Review physician orders, verify patient identification, and select appropriate imaging techniques based on the patient's needs.
• Follow established radiation safety protocols to protect patients, families, and healthcare personnel.
• Assess and monitor patients throughout imaging procedures, making adjustments as needed to ensure safety and diagnostic accuracy.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
• Evaluate images for quality and determine whether additional imaging is needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of imaging procedures and patient care.
• Assist with equipment quality assurance, safety checks, and departmental improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited radiologic technology program.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Registered or registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist (RT-R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Registry-eligible candidates must obtain ARRT registration within one (1) year of hire.
• Current, unrestricted Texas Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
