Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Licenses & Certifications: Registered or registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist (RT-R) through the ARRT.
• Registry-eligible candidates must obtain ARRT registration within one (1) year of hire.
• Current, unrestricted Texas CMRT license required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations while ensuring high-quality images and accurate patient positioning.
• Review physician orders, verify patient identification, and select appropriate imaging techniques based on the patient's needs.
• Follow established radiation safety protocols to protect patients, families, and healthcare personnel.
• Assess and monitor patients throughout imaging procedures, making adjustments as needed to ensure safety and diagnostic accuracy.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
• Evaluate images for quality and determine whether additional imaging is needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of imaging procedures and patient care.
• Assist with equipment quality assurance, safety checks, and departmental improvement initiatives.
