Job summary

UPMC is seeking a part-time Radiology Technologist for 3rd shift with weekend/holiday rotation. The role requires ARRT certification, CPR/BLS per AHA standards, and graduation from a radiology technology program. You will operate PACS, x-ray systems, and mobile equipment, while maintaining sterile technique and safe patient handling.

Includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus for a 2-year commitment. Prior experience with radiology information systems and charting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a radiology technology program.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Knowledge of PACS and radiology information systems.
• Experience with mobile x-ray equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides protective devices as required and operates equipment as directed.
• Assists with procedures in surgery and sets up/operates equipment.
• Maintains room and equipment cleanliness and proper storage of supplies.
• Records and charges patient exams accurately and tracks imaging data.
• Sets up and operates portable radiography equipment.
• Ensures patient safety, positioning, and shielding per policy.
• Rotates within the department and reports to assigned area as required.
