Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform and document diagnostic radiographic examinations on order, ensure safe handoffs, and prepare studies for interpretation by radiologists.

The role requires an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT registration, Ohio licensure, and CPR certification, with the ability to operate radiographic equipment and hospital information systems. This is a contingent, on-site position with variable shifts.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from AMA approved school.
• ARRT certification/registration required.
• State of Ohio licensure required.
• Annual CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents diagnostic radiographic examinations upon order of an approved healthcare provider.
• Performs appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver.
• Analyzes radiographic examinations for quality control purposes.
• Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist.
• Operates all radiographic equipment.
• Operates all facility-based computer systems.
• Administers oral and intravenous contrast media under the direction of physician/per protocol.
• Transports, moves and positions patients safely.
• Assists physicians with special procedures involving the use of radiography.
