Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio is seeking a CT Technologist for the FMC Main Campus. You will perform diagnostic CT examinations, ensure proper handoff to the next caregiver, and prepare studies for interpretation by the radiologist.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification in radiography and CT, Ohio licensure, CPR certification, and has two years of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA-approved program.
• ARRT certification in radiography and CT.
• Ohio licensure requirements.
• CPR certification/When Seconds Count certification.
• Two years minimum experience in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents diagnostic CT examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider.
• Performs appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver.
• Analyzes CT examinations for quality control purposes.
• Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist.
• Operates all CT and related equipment.
• Operates all facility-based computer systems.
• Administers oral and intravenous contrast media under the direction of physician/per protocol.
• Transports, moves and positions patients in a safe and appropriate fashion.
• Assists physicians with special procedures involving the use of CT.
• Participates in quality assurance / quality control activities as related to CT.

• Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio.
• Maintains annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count certification.
• Two years minimum experience in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred.
