Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support radiochemistry and environmental laboratory operations in St. Louis, MO. You will learn radiochemical analytical techniques, operate gamma and alpha spectrometry systems, and work with LIMS to track samples and ensure quality records.

The role offers full-time onsite work with standard hours 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and travel up to ~20% as needed, supporting a critical environmental remediation mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least a year of relevant experience in labs or research.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Willingness to work full-time onsite in St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the analysis of environmental soil, water, and air samples.
• Learn to operate and maintain radiological laboratory instrumentation, including gamma and alpha spectrometry systems.
• Perform environmental and radiochemical analyses under the guidance of experienced laboratory staff.
• Utilize the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to track samples and maintain laboratory records.
• Ensure laboratory documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with quality standards.
• Follow all laboratory safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance requirements.
• Support day-to-day laboratory operations and other duties as assigned.
