Job summary

Leidos seeks a Laboratory Technician to join the FUSRAP program in St. Louis, MO. This entry-level role offers hands-on radiochemistry, instrumentation, and LIMS training in a regulated lab environment.

You will support analysis of soil, water, and air samples, learn gamma and alpha spectrometry, and ensure documentation and safety compliance while working a standard 7:00 am–3:30 pm schedule with ~20% travel as needed.

Leidos is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team supporting the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) in St. Louis, Missouri. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career scientist looking to build hands‑on experience in radiochemistry, nuclear instrumentation, and environmental laboratory operations while working alongside experienced professionals.

In this role, you will support the analysis, tracking, and reporting of environmental soil, water, and air samples while receiving training in radiochemical analytical techniques, laboratory instrumentation, laboratory information management systems (LIMS), and laboratory quality and safety procedures. This position offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise in a highly regulated laboratory environment supporting an important environmental remediation mission.

Standard work hours will be 7:00 am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Ability to travel approximately 20% as needed.

What You’ll Do

Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics, Geology, Biology, or another STEM discipline preferred.

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance; due to contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent residency is required.

This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum wage requirements as well as minimum Health and Welfare benefits. The rate for this position is expected to be $25-28/hr, but may be higher based on actual experience.
