The role involves producing and handling radioisotopes, enabling medical applications like radiopharmaceuticals, with emphasis on safety and GLP compliance. Requires an Associate degree or equivalent in chemistry/radiochemistry and 2+ years in a lab environment, preferably with radioisotopes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, Chemical Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years in a laboratory environment, preferably with radioisotopes or hazardous materials.
• Familiarity with handling radioisotopes is highly desirable.
• Strong foundation in inorganic and physical chemistry relevant to radioisotope handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist production, separation, and purification of radioisotopes, focusing on radium isotopes.
• Support Health Physics for safety surveillance, operation, and instrument calibration.
• Operate and maintain equipment for radioisotope handling (hot cells, detectors, synthesis apparatus).
• Follow established procedures and safety protocols in routine processes.
