Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Radio Technician to join our team in Bryan, TX. In this hands-on, on-site role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing critical two-way radio systems and wireless networks. If you enjoy solving complex RF challenges, working with modern land mobile radio (LMR) hardware, and keeping vital community infrastructure running, this is the position for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation & Deployment: Install, configure, and optimize two-way radio systems, base stations, repeaters, and antenna systems for public safety and commercial customers.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance, component-level troubleshooting, and diagnostic testing on radio hardware, power systems, and RF infrastructure.
  • System Diagnostics: Use specialized equipment (RF service monitors, spectrum analyzers, wattmeters) to test system performance and isolate network issues.
  • Schematic Reading: Read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, system schematics, and technical blueprints.
  • Customer Collaboration: Work directly with commercial clients and public safety officials to diagnose field issues and deliver reliable technical support.
Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electronic systems and radio frequency (RF) equipment.
  • Functional knowledge of modern digital wireless technologies, including P25 and DMR standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, wire harness layouts, and architectural diagrams.
  • Active CET (Certified Electronics Technician) or GCT1 (General Communications Technician Level 1) certification.
  • Strong independent problem-solving abilities combined with a collaborative team mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to perform physical tasks associated with field installations.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):

  • Motorola Solutions certifications (e.g., ASTRO 25, MOTOTRBO).
  • Experience with IP-based networking, microwave backhaul, or DAS installations.
