Job summary

Acceler8 Talent is helping a Boston-based startup hire its first RF Systems Engineer to own the system-level architecture for radar and SATCOM applications. You will translate customer requirements into RF specifications for RFIC/MMIC, EM, and analog teams, spanning phased arrays, beamformers, and transceiver chains.

The role covers link budgets, noise, linearity, EIRP, and dynamic range, with hands-on hardware testing and OTA validation.

Qualifications

• MS degree with 5+ years or PhD with 2+ years in RF/mmWave systems engineering.
• Experience with radar, satellite communications or wireless front ends.
• Hands-on experience with phased arrays, beamforming, link budgets or RF system testing.
• System simulation using ADS, SystemVue or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Own system-level RF architecture translating requirements into specs.
• Work across RFIC/MMIC, EM and analog teams.

RF Systems Engineer | Phased Arrays | Radar & SATCOM

Want to own the RF architecture behind next-generation radar and satellite systems?

I’m working with an early-stage semiconductor startup in Boston building advanced 3D integrated RF hardware for defense radar and low-Earth-orbit satellite communications.

They’re hiring their first RF Systems Engineer to own the system-level architecture - turning customer requirements into the specs that RFIC/MMIC, EM and analog engineers design to.

You’ll work across:

• Phased arrays, beamformers and transceiver chains
• Link budgets, noise, linearity, EIRP and dynamic range
• Radar and SATCOM front-end architecture
• System-level hardware validation and OTA testing

What they’re looking for:

• M.S. + 5+ years or Ph.D. + 2+ years in RF/mmWave systems engineering
• Experience with radar, satellite communications or wireless front ends
• Hands-on experience with phased arrays, beamforming, link budgets or RF system testing
• System simulation experience with tools such as ADS, SystemVue or MATLAB
