Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Engineering Associate Manager for the F-35 CNI Hardware IPT within LM Aeronautics. You will lead a team of engineers, mentor staff, and drive technical leadership across CNI avionics with cross-functional collaboration among internal groups and customers.

The role emphasizes project management, proposal support, and staffing forecasting, with a focus on delivering integrated hardware solutions and sustaining program performance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Standard Job Description

You will be supporting the F-35 line of businesses within LM Aeronautics. This position reports to a Level 5 RF Engineering Mgr. You will manage, mentor and guide a team of engineers with diverse backgrounds and encourage innovation and technical leadership across the F 35 Communication Navigation and Identification (CNI) Hardware Integrated Product Team (IPT). The F-35 CNI Hardware Engineering Associate Manager candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manages the research, design, development, and testing of a variety of electronic equipment and systems in the CNI Avionics Suite.
  • Practice effective project management problem resolution and risk management techniques.
  • Interpretation of customer requirements, creation of system and equipment level requirements, and development of statements of work, implementation, test, integration, and closure.
  • Coordination with multiple stakeholders including suppliers, various Lockheed Martin groups and customers to develop effective proposals.
  • Allocation of direct report work assignments by leveraging their skills and long-term goals.
  • Follow Lockheed Martin’s Performance review process by setting clear expectations, providing/receiving focused feedback, performing salary discussions and encouraging recognition.
  • Actively support recruiting events to attract highly skilled workforce and develop employee development plans leveraging Lockheed Martin’s wide training programs.
  • Understand Earned Value principals to monitor and track throughout project/contract lifecycles.
  • Develop integrated staffing forecasting requirements that support multiple projects.
Basic Qualifications
  • Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience with development and/or integration of Communication Navigation and Identification (CNI) Subsystems.
Desired Skills
  • Technical leadership experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience presenting to internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Proven track record of building relationships, fostering collaboration and working cross functionally with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Experience with Production and Sustainment of the CNI Avionics Suite.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
