The State of New Hampshire is seeking a Radio Dispatcher for the Enfield district. This seasonal role covers 2nd and 3rd shifts including weekends and holidays, with hourly pay ranging from $14.40 to $18.46 and additional shift differentials of $1.20 for 2nd shift and $1.50 for 3rd shift.

Responsabilités

• Receives calls via telephone, two-way radio, and computer, and directs information to the proper state or outside agency to resolve highway problems or provide emergency assistance.
• Maintains a log of office communications to ensure an accurate record of the District's operations.
• Acts as a receptionist for the District Office to provide routine information to the general public.
• Operates a word processor and varied office equipment to prepare various permits or written communications.
• Compiles road and weather information to provide the Communications Center with a periodic highway status throughout the District.
• Performs work in full conformance with all risk management, safety, and environmental standards, regulations, and administrative orders.

Summary

Operates all communications equipment, relays information and dispatches office or field forces as required for a large diverse highway operations District.

Experience Counts

Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Preferred Qualifications

One year of communication experience, which includes typing, dispatching, computer/word processing or radio communications. Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
