Job summary

Rochester Regional Health, Lipson Cancer Institute at Rochester General Hospital, seeks a Radiation Therapy Technologist to perform simulations, create immobilization devices, and deliver precise radiation doses under the Radiation Oncologist. You will manage appointments, record treatment data, and ensure quality control with meticulous documentation.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of a 2-year Radiation Therapist program, holds NY licensure or is within six months of licensure, and has ARRT

• NYS licensure as Radiation Therapist required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• ARRT certification preferred.
• Ongoing education and physical requirements per department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform simulations for treatment under the Radiation Oncologist.
• Construct immobilization devices and custom shielding; schedule patient appointments.
• Deliver prescribed therapeutic doses of radiation; take port films as needed; record treatment data.
• Maintain quality control procedures and documentation; keep daily logs and records.

Perform simulations for treatment under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist; construct immobilization devices and custom shielding; schedule patient appointments; deliver prescribed therapeutic doses of radiation; take port films and labels to be checked appropriately; record treatment records, including dose addition, documentation of port films, adjustments in prescriptions, diagrams, blocking, and landmarkQuality Control & Documentation.
