Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN, seeks a Radiation Therapy professional for a PRN, rotating shift position in the Radiation Therapy department. You will deliver precise radiation treatments, collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists, and ensure patient safety through careful positioning and exact parameter selection.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining linear accelerators, documenting every session, and ensuring timely PACS submissions.

Qualifications

• BLS within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI or Radiation Therapy credential from ARRT or Medical Sonographer credential from ARDMS required.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver life-saving radiation therapy by precisely exposing targeted areas to prescribed doses with high accuracy and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists to implement and adapt personalized treatment plans.
• Position patients correctly to ensure optimal treatment delivery and safety.
• Maintain and operate linear accelerators and related equipment to ensure reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions and submit documentation to the PACS system.
