Job summary

CARTI Cancer Centers in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver prescribed radiation therapy, perform setup and QA, and ensure safe, high-quality treatment. You will educate patients, perform chart checks, and assist with treatment planning and immobilization devices.

Responsibilities include scheduling, insurance verification, and coordination across sites, while maintaining safety standards and EMR updates throughout daily workflow.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in radiation therapy or related program.
• Completion of a JRCERT-accredited radiation therapy program.
• Current Arkansas RRT license; temporary license acceptable at hire.
• ARRT registration (T) or eligible with registration before temp license expires.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiation therapy procedures according to physician orders and guidelines; documents treatment information.
• Performs daily warm-up, start-up and QC checks on equipment; reports malfunctions as needed.
• Performs chart checks at initial, weekly, post-treatment and plan-change intervals.
• Constructs and evaluates treatment aids, bolus material, and immobilization devices.
• Educates patients and families on the radiation therapy course, appointments, and care.
• Assesses patient needs, recommends interventions, follows physician practice and policy.
• Schedules patients for daily treatments and CT simulation; coordinates with social work on transportation.
• Verifies insurance authorization for the treatment course.
• Coordinates continuity of treatment across sites during downtime; communicates with leadership.
• Supports education of radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging students.
• Adheres to radiation safety standards and EMR/equipment updates.
