Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver prescribed radiation treatments and support patients through the treatment journey. You will verify prescriptions, operate equipment, and coordinate with the care team to ensure safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include preparing immobilization devices, entering treatment data, and maintaining records, while upholding radiation safety standards and providing patient education as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Active NJ Radiation therapy license.
• Varian machine experience.

Responsibilities

• Check prescription, diagnosis, patient chart and ID.
• Liaise with physicist and supportive care personnel.
• Prepare equipment and immobilization devices and position patient per prescription.
• Enter data into computer and set controls for dosage.
• Observe and reassure patient during treatment and report unusual reactions.
• Perform timeout before delivering prescribed dose.
