Job summary

Adventist Health Lodi Memorial is seeking an Radiation Therapist to administer ionizing irradiation to patients under physician prescriptions. The role requires a Bachelor's (or equivalent) in radiologic technology, ARRT-Radiation Therapy certification, and a focus on safety and accuracy in daily treatment delivery.

Preferred candidates hold a Master’s degree and/or prior radiologic therapy experience, with BLS/CPR and state fluoroscopy permits being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or equivalent; some certifications may require Bachelor's.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in radiologic technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers the prescribed course of radiation therapy by checking prescription, diagnosis chart, and patient identification; explains procedures and maintains safety.
• Prepares room and equipment for patient according to prescription or simulation; assists immobilization devices and transfers patient.
• Observes patients for unusual reactions and reports reactions or complications to supervisor and physician.
• Maintains records of daily treatment and reviews patient charts to ensure accuracy of reports and counts.
• Provides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical ability to perform procedures.
