Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Experience in radiologic technology: Preferred
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T): Required
• ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T): Required
• Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT): Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification: Preferred
• Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers the prescribed course of radiation therapy by checking prescription and patient identification.
• Explains procedures to patient and communicates during treatment.
• Delivers prescribed daily dose while observing radiation safety for patient and staff.
• Prepares room and equipment and assists patient transfer to treatment couch.
• Maintains patient charts and records to ensure accurate documentation.
