Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Radiation Therapist Assistant for the South Georgia Center for Cancer Care on a PRN basis with no guaranteed hours. The role involves preparing and transporting patients for radiation treatment and supporting CT simulation setup.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient assessments, wheel-chair transport, room turnover, and education of patients by clinical staff. A high school diploma or GED and 1-3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience working in a radiation therapy clinic preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic patient assessments, provide instructions, and educate patients about what to expect.
• Safely wheel patients to and from treatment areas and assist with lifting them to and from treatment tables.
• Observe patients in care areas, attend to their comfort, and report any changes in pain or condition to the medical staff.
• Prepare treatment rooms before procedures and clean them after to keep room turnover fast and efficient.
• Help set up tables and create molds or masks during CT simulation procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
