Job summary

Cardinal Health, at the South Georgia Center for Cancer Care in Statesboro, GA, seeks a Radiation Therapist Assistant for a PRN role to assist with patient transport, setup, and care during radiation treatment. The position offers flexibility with no guaranteed hours and requires readiness for on-demand shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting patients, preparing treatment rooms, and assisting with CT simulation molds, while maintaining safety and efficiency standards under supervision.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience, preferred
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Experience working in a radiation therapy clinic, preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete basic patient assessments, provide instructions, and help educate patients about what to expect
• Safely wheel patients to and from treatment areas and assist with lifting them to and from treatment tables
• Observe patients in care areas, attend to their comfort, and report any changes in pain or condition to the medical staff
• Prepare treatment rooms before procedures and clean them afterward to keep room turnover fast and efficient
• Help set up tables and create molds or masks during CT simulation procedures
• Other duties as assigned
