Job summary

Cardinal Health's South Georgia Center for Cancer Care is seeking a Radiation Therapist Assistant to support patient care during radiation treatment. This PRN role assists with preparing patients, transporting them, and maintaining treatment areas, with no guaranteed hours.

The successful candidate will have 1–3 years of experience preferred, a high school diploma or GED, and flexibility to work changing shifts. Paid time off is included; hourly pay falls within $17.10 to $24.40.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Experience working in a radiation therapy clinic, preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic patient assessments, provide instructions, and help educate patients about what to expect.
• Safely wheel patients to and from treatment areas and assist with lifting them to and from treatment tables.
• Observe patients in care areas, attend to their comfort, and report any changes in pain or condition to the medical staff.
• Prepare treatment rooms before procedures and clean them afterward to keep room turnover fast and efficient.
• Help set up tables and create molds or masks during CT simulation procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
