MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, part of Trinity Health, is hiring a Radiation Therapist in Mason City, IA. The role supports a 36-hour weekly day shift delivering prescribed radiation therapy and ensuring patient care quality.

The position requires Iowa state permit to practice in Radiation Therapy, registry eligibility, and BLS certification; prior experience is preferred. Education assistance and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiation Therapist or registry eligible.
• Must obtain and maintain Iowa Permit To Practice requiring 24 CEUs in a 2-year period.
• Current Iowa permit to practice in Radiation Therapy.
• Previous experience preferred.
• BLS Mandatory Reporter.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatment to patients in accordance with physician’s prescription.
• Complete treatment preparation including simulation, immobilization, and block fabrication.
• Coordinate care of patients receiving radiation therapy treatments.
• Assure proper function of treatment equipment.

As a Radiation Therapist at MercyOne, you will:

• Deliver radiation therapy treatment to patients in accordance with physician’s prescription
• Complete treatment preparation including simulation, immobilization, and block fabrication
• Coordinate care of patients receiving radiation therapy treatments
• Assure proper function of treatment equipment
• Based on principles of growth and development, provide care appropriate to the age related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned area

Schedule: 36 hours a week Day shift
