MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA, invites applications for a Radiation Therapist. The role involves delivering prescribed radiation therapy, preparing treatments, coordinating patient care, and ensuring equipment function in a day shift, full-time capacity.

Relocation is available for qualified candidates. Successful applicants will be registered radiation therapists or eligible for registry, hold Iowa permits to practice, and meet clinical prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiation Therapist or registry eligibility required.
• Must obtain and maintain an Iowa Permit To Practice with 24 CEUs in 2 years.
• Current Iowa permit to practice in Radiation Therapy.
• Previous experience preferred.
• BLS and Mandatory Reporter certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatment to patients per physician's prescription.
• Prepare treatment including simulation, immobilization, and block fabrication.
• Coordinate care of patients receiving radiation therapy treatments.
• Ensure proper function of treatment equipment.
• Provide age-appropriate care based on patient needs.

As a Radiation Therapist at MercyOne, you will:

• Deliver radiation therapy treatment to patients in accordance with physician’s prescription
• Complete treatment preparation including simulation, immobilization, and block fabrication
• Coordinate care of patients receiving radiation therapy treatments
• Assure proper function of treatment equipment
• Based on principles of growth and development, provide care appropriate to the age related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned area

Schedule:

• 36 hours a week
• Day shift
